Algiz, Elhaz, Eolh
The topic of our new core broadcast released this week is the Rune known in the Elder Futhark as Algiz or Elhaz, and in the Anglo-Saxon Futhorc as Eolh.

This is the next stage in the process of awakening when going through the initiatory phases of each Rune in its particular order. Last week we went through how Orlog and the dice cup of Perthro indicates our taking of responsibility for our own actions and our lives in a conscious manner. In other words exercising our free will truly, something which very few people actually do (most people react to one situation or another and are always in a reactionary phase). When we reach this level of initiation and understanding, we are faced with the Rune Algiz which is a Rune of protection and of a special kind of initiation. It is an insulator between that which is negative and trying to hamper the evolution of the soul in the more esoteric sense, and although it can be used in a physical sense for actual protection in the world of Midgardhr, it has this power as well to insulate one against the inertial force that tries its best to resist growth. This accomplishes two things: First, it keeps that which is unhelpful on the outside; second, it keeps you inside enclosed within its protection. While you are enclosed within this protection the second level of its power is revealed in which because of your mastery of true free will, is a connection to the fetch or the higher genius! This is the Rune not only of protection but of the inner Valkyrie. We see a type and the shadow of this in the Saga of The Volsungs where the hero braves the ring of fire to awaken the Valkyrie Brynhild, who then teaches him the secrets of Runes and of many other wondrous things! This is a Rune that grants temporary protection from the forces that are unhelpful to one's evolution, in order that the individual may become energized through this connection to the inner Valkyrie. This connection being realized in the person's life gives them the power to step forth from this enclosure and move forward in victory!
