Isa, Is

The broadcast released today is on the subject of the Rune Isa in the Elder Futhark, Is in the Anglo Saxon, Younger and Armanen rows. The appearance of this Rune is the same in all of the different runic systems. The general energy of this Rune is one of contraction. We talked in the last broadcast about the Rune Nauthiz being an experience of inertia, while this Rune is inertia itself. On the negative side this Rune represents the deceptiveness of ice which can be beautiful to behold but deadly to put your trust in. For example, the ice over top of the river may be beautiful to look at but unless it is truly frozen solid through you are taking a tremendous risk in walking over that ice as it could very easily crack open allowing you to fall into the icy waters never to be seen again until spring.

On the more positive side we see that this contract of influence is also one in which conduction can be increased. This is a Rune that one can use in their personal work to increase their ability to channel Rune might! It is not a Rune that one would wish to send upon somebody in an active sorcery unless there was no choice but to do so, for that could cause some pretty nasty things, but in personal use one has the ability to flip into the positive aspect of the Rune and increase their ability substantially.
