The Fourth Rune: Ansuz, Os, Ase

The fourth Rune in all systems. There are variant forms in each system that will be shown.
The meaning of this rune is simillar in all the systems, and in the Armanen is ascribed to the spell song from the Havamal:
" A fourth I know: if men make fast
in chains the joints of my limbs,
when I sing that song which shall set me free,
spring the fetters from hands and feet."
The Rune Ansuz is a window to the creative power of freedom! It shows how when the ecstatic inspiration that comes from the energies of the multi-verse itself flows through an individual and their soul complex, that the fetters they have imprisoned themselves with can be cast off. This is the Rune of true awakening and freedom of the human spirit no matter what circumstance one may find themselves in outwardly. Wealth, success, popularity, fame, are all fine and good and if you can acquire them with what gifts are given you in this life than there is certainly no issue with pursuing these things. Realize however that this does not make you any more free than someone who lives under a bridge because the strongest prison is the one you built for yourself and is not made with hands! Freedom comes from within. Without that freedom one is either a slave in rags or a slave wearing a suit. This Rune teaches you how to be free through that connection to the higher genius known in the soul complex as the fetch -- -- there is another Rune that we will discuss later on that has more direct connections to the fetch, but it is of no value to you if you have not 1st liberated yourself from the prison of the mind that each of us has formed without hands.
